The FY2020 Senate budget has level funded the Child Care Resource and Referral (CCR&R) agencies in their budget recommendation. We need your help to garner support for amendment #263 sponsored by Senator Keenan to increase the line item 3000-2000 by $1 million and now we need you to tell the members of the senate to support this amendment!
Tell the Senate the importance of CCR&Rs and keeping caseloads low by taking action today.
Are you a provider who accepts child care subsidies? Are you a family who has benefited from child care subsidies? Make sure to customize the letter to share your experience with your state senator!
This budget year is particularly key to continuing the ability of the CCRR Network to provide children, families, and providers with the child care subsidies, information, access and support they need. An additional $500,000 has been added to line 3000-2000 in the budget, but it is simply not enough to cover increased subsidy family caseloads, provider monitoring and oversight, and intense work with vulnerable families.
Ask your legislator to support Amendment #26, offered by Representative KimberlyFerguson, which adds the necessary $2 million to the budget.
